Vermouth (Dry)

Vermouth (Dry)

Dry vermouth is a fortified, aromatised white wine with origins in 18th century France. Made by infusing a neutral white wine base with a blend of botanicals — typically including wormwood (from which vermouth takes its name), chamomile, coriander, and citrus peel — it is then lightly sweetened and fortified with neutral spirit. Its crisp, herbal, and subtly floral character makes it the essential modifier in a classic Dry Martini, and it brings brightness and complexity to a wide range of spirit-forward cocktails.
