Green Chartreuse is a 55% ABV (110 proof) French liqueur with a distinctive natural green color, produced by Carthusian monks since 1840 from a secret blend of 130 herbs, plants, and flowers. It is intensely herbal, sweet, and spicy, featuring notes of peppermint, pine, lemon, and anise. It is typically served chilled as a digestif or in cocktails like the Last Word. Powerful and unique with a sweet, fiery, and aromatic profile. Initial notes of mint, citrus, and pine sap lead to a long, complex, slightly bitter finish.
