Punt e Mes

Punt e Mes

Punt e Mes is a rich, complex Italian vermouth produced by Carpano in Turin since 1870. Its name means "point and a half" in Piedmontese dialect, referring to its balance of one part sweetness to one and a half parts bitterness. Made from red wine fortified with alcohol and infused with a proprietary blend of herbs, quinine, and spices, it sits somewhere between a sweet vermouth and a bitter amaro — darker, drier, and more intensely herbal than standard rosso vermouth. It excels in Negronis and Manhattans where extra depth and bitterness are welcome.
